How does IdleLens reduce my AWS bill?
It finds resources you are billed for but no longer use — unattached EBS volumes, idle NAT gateways, zero-traffic load balancers, idle RDS and SageMaker endpoints — and hands you a ranked, evidence-backed cleanup queue. You execute the cleanup in your own console.
How is this different from AWS Cost Explorer or Trusted Advisor?
Cost Explorer shows aggregate spend. Trusted Advisor and Compute Optimizer flag some idle resources. None of them cites evidence per finding, carries your tag policy, or gives engineers a triage workflow. IdleLens sits between cost visibility and the engineer who owns the resource.
Is my AWS account safe?
The IAM role you deploy is read-only. The scanner source contains zero Delete*, Stop*, Terminate*, Update*, or Put* API calls — CI fails the build if any land.
